It is that amazing. It really is.
When my beautiful mom and Aunt Marcia were here, we went to Port Douglas and the Great Barrier Reef. We spent an incredible day on the water, and I wanted to share it!
We started bright and early, donning our fabulous flip-flops.
We boarded the beautiful boat, the Calypso. ![]()

It was a huge, beautiful, comfortable boat with cushy seeks, deck chairs, and gorgeous windows. ![]()
There were a ton of whales. I couldn’t get a picture, but mom did!![]()
The water was so amazing – it was so clear, blue and gorgeous. It was also amazingly warm. ![]()
We went snorkelling and saw the most amazing fish. I have never seen fish more colorful or amazing.
After snorkling, they served a beautiful lunch, with salads, grilled veggies and meat. Yum!![]()

It was delicious. After lunch, we went diving again. It was just beautiful.
After our final day, we had a talk about the sustainability of diving and the ocean, and how important it is to keep the amazing reef safe. It’s responsible for feeding thousands of fish, and keeping the ocean healthy.
All in all, it was such an amazing day, and if you’re around Port Douglas, I highly Calypso cruises. They were great, the service was incredible, and the fish were out of this world!
